Senior Sessions in Galveston, Texas

Megan Blasdel Photography offers Gulf Coast senior sessions with a focus on natural, relaxed images that still feel polished and intentional. Sessions with me are guided, but never forced, so you will get a mix of movement and traditional poses for portraits you can’t wait to display.

From location to wardrobe, you’ll never have to guess what the next step is, or how to plan the perfect session. Leave that part to us!

MBP works with seniors from (or vactioning to) Galveston, League City, Friendswood, Santa Fe, and the surrounding areas.

Galveston Senior Photo Locations

One of the biggest advantages of a Galveston senior session is variety. The island is packed with historical areas, beachfronts opportunities, and manicured parks. You can get multiple looks in one session without driving far.

Popular options include:

  • Beach sessions – clean, simple backgrounds with soft sunset light

  • Seawall areas – a mix of beach and structures for more variety

  • Historic district – brick, texture, and a more urban/editorial look

  • Parks and less crowded areas – quieter settings with greenery and pathways

Location is planned based on the look you want and the time of year. You don’t have to figure that out on your own; I’ll guide you through it.

What to Wear for Senior Photos

Outfits make a big difference, especially at the beach where wind, light, and color all play a role.

General guidelines:

  • Stick with neutral or soft colors, ditch the bright or neon ones

  • Avoid heavy patterns, tight plaid, or logos

  • Choose pieces that move well (especially for beach sessions)

  • Plan 2-3 outfits max, based on your package time

  • Bring props that mean something to you

  • Don’t forget your letterman jacket and cap & gown
(Don’t have your gown yet? I have some to borrow!)

For more detailed help, I’ve put together guides here:

Most seniors book 2–4 months in advance, especially for spring and fall sessions.
If you already have a timeframe in mind, it’s best to reach out early.
