Time flies when you’re having fun. In fact, if you aren’t careful, you’ll miss the sweetest years as they rush by in a blur. No worries about that for this family, though. We’ve grown together — for five years running, they’ve done annual family portraits with me. I’ve gone from a digital-only model to full-service, and Carson has grown from a shy Kindergartener to a savvy (but still delightful) adolescent.

Michele has remained consistently beautiful — both inside and out. Her understated but very fashionable style makes every location we shoot look perfect. No wonder that her husband Dustin flirts with her constantly during each shoot, giving me some genuine golden moments to capture when the shutter opens.

The Thomases make the best use of their great shots, too. This year they ordered a 20x30 canvas to really make a statement on their wall at home (shared by permission). It will be so much fun to keep seeing the growth and deepening joy of these three in the years to come.
