Julie got in touch shortly after Valentine’s Day this year to inquire about family portraits that would double as engagement images for an April wedding. Fiancé Kris also helped with the planning for this fabulous Galveston session, particularly in the wardrobe department, and man, did she nail it!
They knew from the start that they wanted a “formal industrial feel,” and I had the perfect spots! Their teenagers added a pop of red, white, and blue to the clean, chic wardrobe of the group. Kris and Julie’s dapper-casual cuts and rainbow pride sneakers played well against the downtown alleyways and hip urban decay backdrops. Blissed-out smiles and effortless affection made it seem as if the sunset glow actually emanated from within the subjects, rather than falling upon them.
Kris and Julie opted for one of my popular packages, which included an awesome 16x24 canvas (Julie’s quote when she saw it: Wow! That’s great quality!) But sometimes big things comes in small packages. One of Julie’s favorite things was a miniature memory book. Its accordion-fold features some of the best images AND it contains a hidden magnet, perfect for displaying on a ‘fridge or locker.
Julie and Kris, it was an absolute blast working with you and the girls. We’re wishing you a very happy future together!
